BIO

The showbiz è un gruppo composto, nel 2016, da membri (attuali o ex) de The Wild Weekend, The Provincials, Chocolate Starfish e The Bidons. l'idea portante è ripristinare il concetto del rocknroll a (ri)partire da un luogo fisico e spirituale: il pub. Se Chuck Berry è stato l'espressione del sottoproletariato urbano proveniente dall'ambiente rurale ed elettrificatosi nella grande città, gente come Mick green e Lee Brilleaux hanno portato la working class dalla parte del blues. C'è bisogno di conoscere il lato adulto del RNR. The Showbiz si assumono l'onere. Il 4 maggio 2018 è uscito il loro primo ep con quattro brani rigorosamente in vinile 7" a 45rpm prodotto dalla Tongue Records con tiratura limitata di 200 copie. I brani sono stati registrati a gennaio del 2017 da Ferdinando Farro al Murotorto, Eboli (SA) con successivo Mix and Master di Rosario Memoli presso il Provolone Records Studio di Cava de' Tirreni (SA).

Nico Plescia è un musicista-dj-ingegnere di Salerno, malato di rock'n'roll,
Ex chitarrista dei STS, Nitroglycerine e The Bidons.
Nel 2024 ha iniziato a scrivere e cantare brani con l'aiuto di amici, il primo singolo si intitola Cecilia's Lullaby ed è ovviamente una ninna nanna dedicato alla figlia, e pubblicata con la Tongue Records.
